Hello, and thank you for stopping by! Here’s a little bit about how Powerhorse Therapeutic Massage evolved. I’ve been riding and caring for horses since I was a young child. Horses, dogs, and many other animals have always been an essential part of my life. I have worked in corporate finance, accounting, education, and when my kids were in school, I built a pet services company that provided pet care to hundreds of clients with the help of 25 wonderful employees. When my family moved to Virginia, I sold the business to my very first clients. It was very difficult to say goodbye to all my animal friends and their owners, but the company continues to thrive in Sykesville, Maryland. J Walking Pet Services serves a wonderful community of pet lovers while providing rewarding jobs to a dedicated team of caring employees.

With an empty spot in my heart for helping and healing animals, I founded Powerhorse Therapeutic Massage, LLC in Loudoun County Virginia. With a lifelong background in hunters, trail riding, natural horsemanship, dressage, and animal communication, I’ve expanded my expertise to serve the roping and racehorse communities as well. Whether working with a high-performance sport horse or a retired family companion, I tailor each session to the horse’s unique needs, always listening intuitively to both the horse and its owner. Managing anxiety and stress is a key part of my approach, as it profoundly affects the horse’s overall well-being. Attending clinics, classes, and continuous self-study fosters continuous improvement in my technique. However, it is the horses themselves that remain my greatest teachers, constantly revealing new insights through their subtle communication. Feedback from clients very often validates observable results. PTM’s mission is to improve the health, strength, longevity and performance of our equine athletes and animal companions.
